If you're anywhere near Stuart, Florida, do yourself a favor and visit Castronovo Chocolate. Denise has created something truly special with her small bean-to-bar chocolate shop. We've stopped in several times over the years while staying in Florida, and every visit has been a treat. This time, we picked up the chocolate chip biscotti, and it was hands down the most tender, delicious biscotti I've ever had. We also couldn't resist the chocolate-covered cherries—they were so incredible that we ate the entire bag before we even realized it! And then there were the truffles. Rich, silky, and perfectly balanced, they're the ideal little chocolate bite. You can taste the care, craftsmanship, and passion that goes into everything Denise makes. Castronovo Chocolate has become one of our favorite traditions every time we're in Florida, and we can't wait to come back.♡

What an absolute gem in Stuart. The chocolate is divine and the staff is so very lovely. Woman owned, women operated. Go around 1 on Thursday or Friday for their cookies, shake some sea salt in the bag, and enjoy. Their truffles are my favorite, but be sure to ask to try any of their chocolate bars and they'll give you a sample. You will leave happy!

Castronovo Chocolate was founded in Stuart in 2012 by Denise and Jim Castronovo. They are a micro-batch chocolatier, sourcing cacao beans from rainforests in Central and South America, where they are harvested by indigenous communities. Their specialty chocolates are sold in-store and through retail shops internationally. In 2021, the Castronovos were recognized by Food & Wine magazine for their exceptional dark chocolate. Stepping inside the shop, you’re immediately greeted by the irresistible aroma of chocolate. I recently visited while in Stuart, hoping for chocolate-covered strawberries. While they didn’t have any, the staff kindly pointed me to a nearby spot where I could find them. The chocolate here is on the pricier side—around $15 for a single bar—but it’s a premium experience worth every penny. I treated myself to a matcha chocolate lollipop in a shamrock shape for $4, and it was pure decadence. Maybe you know some-bunny who’s been very good this year… For anyone seeking exceptional chocolate and a true indulgence, Castronovo Chocolate is the perfect destination.

I have been enjoying Castronovo chocolate for years, and we are so blessed to have this wonderful little chocolate factory here in Stuart. My wife and I are big chocolate lovers, and Castronovo is truly the best of the best. Every item we’ve tried is sensational!

Discovered this place like more than five years ago and I have been buying her chocolates as Xmas gifts to families, friends and colleagues. Of all places, who would have thought Stuart has a global award winning chocolatier. Big fan of her white chocolate with lemon and lemon sea salt. Denise personally told me she makes the cocoa butter (key ingredient for white chocolate) from scratch and it takes hours and hours. The Sierra Nevada is also highly recommended as it received the 2019 Golden Bean award. They are great unique gifts from Stuart. I also like the fact she supports fair trade and indigenous cacao farmers in South America.
